Understand What This Page Explains
This page describes how www.burgessautistictrust.org.uk handles visit data on its own pages. It does not describe any other website, including the destinations reached through outbound links. The site is built from static files delivered through a content delivery network, which processes the technical details of every request in its role as the hosting provider. No part of this page collects names, e-mail addresses, account identifiers or payment details, and no personal information is stored about individual visitors.
See What Is Measured and When
A small amount of visit data is recorded, but only when a visitor arrives from a search engine. When that happens, the site notes the page path, the type of event, the name of the referring search engine, and the text of any outbound button that gets clicked. This is a first-party visit beacon: it fires on arrival from search results and, separately, when an outbound button is selected.
- Page path and event type — used only to count how many times a page was viewed or a button was clicked.
- Referring search engine name — recorded to show which search engine sent the visit, for the same counting purpose.
- Outbound button text — recorded when a visitor selects an outbound button, again only for counting clicks.
A single flag is kept in the browser for the current session so that one page view is not counted more than once. This flag lasts only for the session and is not a persistent identifier. No other browser storage is set, and no cookie is used anywhere on the site.
Know How Pages and Links Are Built
Every page on this site is self-contained: all the files a page needs, including its fonts, are loaded from this domain, with fonts embedded locally rather than fetched from an outside host. No external subresources are loaded while a page is displayed, so no other server receives data as a page is being viewed.
Outbound links to third-party sites work differently. Following one of these links sends the visitor first through a first-party outbound redirect hosted on this domain, and only then on to the partner site. No stored visitor data is passed to the partner during that redirect. Once the partner site is reached, it receives the request directly from the visitor's browser and keeps its own separate record of that visit, entirely outside this site's control.
Recognise What Is Absent by Design
This site has no forms, so there is nothing to submit and nothing typed by a visitor to collect. There is no third-party analytics service reading visit data, no external subresource loading from another domain, and no contact channel of any kind on the site. There is no login, no registration and no user account, and no data is shared with advertising networks, data brokers or outside analytics providers. These absences are why no consent request, no account creation and no personal detail are ever asked of a reader here.
Treat Linked Destinations Separately
Because outbound links lead to independent sites, nothing on this page describes what those destinations do with a visit once the redirect completes. Each partner site keeps its own record of the request it receives, under its own practices, which this page has no basis to describe. Readers should treat any form, account or contact channel found on a linked destination as belonging to that separate site, not to this one, and should avoid submitting personal data anywhere its handling has not been separately confirmed.
