Sessional Support Assistant

Contract Type:  Bank – 0 hours

Salary: £7.40 an hour. Staff may be required to work “sleep ins” which are paid at £27.50 a night.

Job Purpose

To be responsible for the day-to-day activities necessary to carry out the assigned
service/function according to the philosophy, mission, vision and values of Burgess Autistic Trust.

Key Accountabilities

Uphold, safeguard and promote the organisation's philosophy, mission, vision and values, and corporate responsibilities (e.g. equal opportunities, duty of care, ethics, integrity, morality, confidentiality).

Undertake assigned tasks to meet annual key performance indicators for self and service; ensure that all work performed remains focused toward expected performance outcomes for self and service; provide feedback on progress toward expected performance outcomes by attendance at regular support and supervision meetings. 

Learn and ensure understanding of the appropriately use organisational resources (time, people, financial, materials, equipment, buildings, and information) and ensure such use of resources is according to established policies and procedures.

Ensure that all communication methods used (verbal / written, internal / external) contain accurate, factual and appropriate information, and are approved by your line manager.

Ensure that all work undertaken is consistent with, and to the expected standard of the contractual terms and conditions of funding sources (eg Service Level Agreements, Grants, any funding arrangements).

Ensure that all work undertaken is consistent with, and to the expected quality standards of, all applicable regulatory/statutory requirements (eg Health and Safety Executive, Care Quality Commission, Social Care Council, or affiliated professional body) for the assigned service/function.

Make recommendations for service improvement, including funding opportunities,that may impact the annual operating budget.
